Alumni Career Resources during COVID-19

During this time of economic uncertainty and upheaval, we want to make sure our alumni community is fully aware of the career resources and benefits Reed provides, and equipped with the knowledge of how to access them. Check out the links below to learn more, or email us at alumni@reed.edu to get connected.

Career Development

Advice from alumni who graduated into the Great Recession – initally created for 2020 graduates, we hope you, too, find some nuggets of wisdom in the stories shared by alumni who faced similar career challenges.

Alumni Career Coaches—a group of alumni offering flexible career coaching to other alumni. They can help with questions about Reed resources, provide a welcoming introduction to existing professional networks our great Reed community offers, review resumes, or brainstorm career questions.

Alumni Directory—a searchable database of contact information for fellow Reedies. Search by name, class year, industry, employer, etc., to connect with alumni. Don't forget to update your own information, including the Professional and Networks sections.

LinkedIn Professional Network—the official LinkedIn professional network group for Reed alumni.

Reed Career Alliance—a committee of the Alumni Board supporting Reed College alumni in the development of meaningful careers post-Reed. RCA advocates for career assistance for all years of alumni, be it mid-career, retiring, changing careers, or just starting out.

Reed Legal Network—a growing alumni initiative to build and foster a network among fellow alumni that offers mutual support in developing new or already established legal careers.

Switchboard—a message board where Reedies can ask for help and offer what they can give. Whether you need advice, have a job opportunity, or are seeking something else, Switchboard makes it easy for you to connect with fellow members of the Reed community.

The Center for Life Beyond Reed—helps all alumni apply for fellowships, graduate, or professional schools (medical, law, and business). Alumni who have graduated within the last year can make appointments with CLBR advisors to discuss any aspect of their career or continuing education search.
