Diversity and Inclusion Committee

Mission Statement

The Diversity and Inclusion Committee (DIC) of the Reed College Alumni Board works in partnership with Alumni Relations to reach, engage, and support Reed’s diverse alumni. Our mission is to center anti-oppressive, intersectional, and liberatory practices: to create alumni spaces that both recognize past harm and encourage healing and uplift; to promote college programming that emphasizes equity and justice; and to build a strong sense of community and (re)connection among alumni and students from historically marginalized and minoritized backgrounds.

Interested in getting involved? Contact the Alumni Relations and Parent Engagement team at alumni@reed.edu or 503-777-7589 for more information.

Who’s on the committee? Can I join?

The DIC is made up of alumni volunteers and several Alumni Board members, and is currently led by chair Lilia Raquel Rosas '94. We have meetings on the third Friday of every other month (Jan, Mar, May, Jul, Sept, and Nov), as well as several working groups who meet outside of full committee meetings. Please reach out to the Alumni Relations and Parent Engagement team if you'd like to join us!
