Connect with Reed
If you want to connect with other Reedies but don't know where to start, you can email us at alumni@reed.edu or call us at 503-777-7589. We're always happy to talk to you and help figure out what opportunities are the best fit for you.
Connect with other Reedies, near and far:
- Find Reed alumni in your own backyard with the Alumni Chapters. From across the coast to across the pond, Reedies young and olde reunite to talk, drink, and be merry.
- Explore the Alumni Directory to reconnect with your peers or discover new connections.
- Stroll down memory lane by visiting the class photo albums, or even add your own!
- If your class year is more than forty years ago, take advantage of special programming and opportunities designed with you and your cohort in mind with the Foster Scholz Club.
- Check out the Reed Professional Networks and Affinity Groups to find new ways to interface with other Reedies—everything from a Legal Network to an Alumni of Color Network can be found there.
- Keep everyone up to date by submitting a class note to the Reed Magazine.
- Engage with Reed from wherever you are by visiting Reed Remote to check out talks by alumni and professors, as well as a plethora of other activities.
- If you want something, you can start on Reed Switchboard. Like Craigslist, but without the creepiness or clutter, Reed Switchboard provides a forum where Reedies can connect with Reedies. You can get rid of your couch or give advice on the merits of a career in freelance journalism.
- Support a Reedie-owned business from our directory - there are more than 120 businesses to explore!
- Reunions is the largest alumni event held by Reed each year; it is about reconnecting with old friends and making new friends. More than 1,000 alumni, partners, friends, and children are expected to attend, and Reunions usually happens in June. All alumni are encouraged to attend, even if it's not a milestone reunion for your class year.
- Otherwise, keep in the know about news of the mothership via Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Instagram and news of alumni on Facebook and Twitter.
